Making Swag Sparkle

Saturday night, I participated in an author discussion and signing at my local Barnes & Noble.

I was signing my Harlequin Historical debut, Engagement of Convenience and I wanted some fun swag to hand out to people who chatted with me or purchased my book. I wanted to add a little pizzazz to my swag, so I decided to make some pocket fold envelopes to hold my promotional postcards and magnets.

Quite some time ago, I found this buckle and ribbon set on clearance at Target. I wasn't sure what to do with them so they sat in a drawer for a long time. Then, I saw some online pictures of wedding invitations with pocket fold envelopes decorated with buckles like these. This gave me an idea.

I happened to have some card stock on hand in a very classical print. I cut it in half, then folded the bottom third.

I used double stick tape to tape together the bottom third to the back and create the pocket.

Then I slipped in some postcard and magnets for my books. I used double stick tape to secure the ribbon and buckle and my packet was complete.

If you love my swag then you will love my books because they sparkle too. www.Georgie-Lee.com
