Working through a story

I've found that sometimes the only way to push through a block is to keep writing. This week I'm participating in my RWA chapter's Book In A Week challenge. I'm forcing myself to push through to the end of my manuscript, despite a few problems. By forcing myself to write, instead of procrastinating, I've solved a number of problems and made notes on what to revise. Editing is my favorite part of the process and, as I've often been told, you can't edit a blank page. Here's to Book In A Week!

A Recent Read

I recently read The King's Mistress by Terri Brisbin and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books. I loaned the book to my sister who has never read a romance novel and she really enjoyed it too. She even purchased another romance novel and recommended it to me. One person converted, millions more to go.

Giggling like teenage girls.

Someone needs to publish an adult version of Tiger Beat or Bop. My friends and I find ourselves giggling like teenage girls over Matthew McFadden, Clive Owen and other assorted beefcake. Sure, Us Weekly and Life and Style are fun but wouldn't a magazine filled with glossy photos of our favorite hunks be fun? Where is a locker door when you need it?
